Our Story
Our founder, Cindy Stout, spent years dealing with the same ache below her kneecap that every pickleball player knows. It started as a dull throb after Tuesday games. Then it was still there Thursday. Then she started guarding her lunges. Then she stopped going.
Fed up with sleeves that slid down, straps that shifted and cortisone shots that wore off in three months, Cindy partnered with physical therapists to understand the real cause. Every single one pointed to the same thing. Patellar tendon impact force that no compression sleeve was ever designed to stop.
So she built a brace around that. Engineered around the exact therapeutic principles PTs use in clinic, built with medical grade silicone to last and simple enough to put on before you walk onto the court.
The first women she gave it to stopped guarding their knees. Then their doubles partners wanted one. Then strangers in Facebook groups started reaching out.
Tenicar was never meant to be a business. It was just Cindy refusing to accept that knee pain was something she had to live with.
It still is.
